equipped with 20 pages of 'secret manual' downloaded over the internet, we decided to cook something new today: sushi!
here are the ingredients and utensils we looted from our favourite $2 shop daiso and sheng siong supermarket..

short grain rice, rice vinegar, soya sauce, wasabi, mayo, egg, cucumber, crab stick, tuna, etc etc..
first step is to cook rice. measure 2 cups of rice and add 2 cups of water into the rice cooker and leave it to cook for 25mins. after which add 3 tablespoons of rice vinegar and mix the rice..

scoop the rice out to cool for another 10mins after mixing
when the rice is about room temperature, we are ready for the rolling!

spread the rice out over the nari (seaweed) with cucumber, crab stick, mayo, garnishing..

slowly roll the bamboo mat over..

squeeze hard for a while and a nice sushi is done!
next we shall try the sushi in a beancurd skin bag..

stuff rice into the bag and top with tuna =P

we even got the mold for the sushi as well!
and after 2 hours of hard work and fun.... chef lau is proud to present...

sushi! yeah!!
