our story..: 1st jan.. 3rd day in taipei..

01/01:
1st day of the new year, waking up on a sunny morning, we continue my adventure in taipei..

the very first stop is 中正纪念堂. a very grand building with beautiful surroundings. the national opera and dunno what performing arts theatres are just metres away from each other. similar to the 国父纪念堂 memorial hall, the figure sitting in the hall is mr CKS..

after that is a visit to the presidential office. i was hopping to catch some demostration or riot there but sadly there isn't any. also president chien is not in office today as today is a public holiday.. haiz... can only see the sad looking guards.. =(

no riot!! no demostration! so boring! =P

next destination??

of coz.. the ever famous 西门町! aweeeeeeeeee~~~

as its way past our lunch time, the first thing we did with our empty stomaches is to search for the 阿宗面线. many are eating around the shop with a bowl of 面线 in their hands. also its such a looooong queue! but as typical singaporeans who believe that anywhere that queues must be good, we join in the fun with much anticipation =)

its good! but not for those who don't like pig intestines and there are no oysters inside..

walk and walk and walk around 西门町.. its more for gals as there isn't many shops selling guys stuffs. to make things worst, the stores are selling winter clothings so basically there is nothing much me and dear can buy.. except for 3 adidas tees that are selling at 40% off retail price =( hence the only entertainment we have for ourselves is to eat and eat, drink and drink..

after a whole afternoon in 西门町, its time to pay a visit to 龙山寺 and the nearby 华西夜市.

dear even 求签 at 龙山寺 and she got a 上上签! i asked dear what she asked for but she didn't tell me directly, but i guess it should be our marriage bah.. and the explanation from the 签 is 成 =)

华西夜市 ts a nice place to eat seafood as its almost everywhere. also, there are snake meat, snake soup, etc for those who are more adventurous~ as for shopping, its almost the same as per other night markets. again.. nothing much interest us except the food as we have fish soup, smelly tofu, tako, strawberry milk, ... *yummy*
