camping at east coast

our second attempt of camping at east coast. many interesting things happened..

1. crowded
freaking crowded in east coast where all the roads leading to it are jammed! yes its a long weekend but its already 6+pm already leh.. how come so many people are still on their way there? only reason i can give dear is that all are going to the food centre to eat..

maybe 1/4 of the population of singapore are camping there from the number of tents lined up neatly along the beach.. damm i forgot to take a pic of it..

2. record breaking
we managed to set up the tent from scratch within 5mins =) i think we are getting better at it since the last one in december last year. dear next time we shall do it in 4 mins? then 3 mins? hehe

3. unexplained phenomenum
i really dunno why will people bother to pitch their tent beside the toilet.. or at a really far place from the beach. ain't the purpose of camping at east coast is to have the seaview?

4. gadgets
camping can be getting hightech from the things we see people are bringing. we saw self brought stoves, radio, tables, chairs, ice box... even fans and TV!! 12" one ok not those casio handheld ones.. btw where on earth did they get the power supply from?

5. disturbances
everyone doesn't seems to be sleeping coz we still hear people walking outside our tent, screaming and laughing, playing games, etc etc.. is pretty noisy... worst we are bitten by stupid mosquitos! i kena a 2 bites then i cannot endure liao and wake up to hit the mosquitos, then dear tell me that she kena bitten many times liao.. faintz.. she says i sleep like a dead log.. =X i got meh???

6. feedback and improvements
after discussing with dear, we came up with a list of improvements we can have prior to our next outing:
a) portable fan
b) portable radio/speakers
c) find a way to hang our lamp in the tent
d) bigger tent
e) bbq pit
f) ice box
g) portable chairs/tables


looking forward to our camping again! =)
